AI & LLM Data Policy — PulseGuard AI

Last updated: August 2026

PulseGuard AI uses a large language model (LLM) to analyze operational data, investigate risks, and generate recommendations. Our sole LLM provider is OpenAI, accessed via the OpenAI API. This page describes how your data is handled at the LLM layer with respect to tenancy, residency, and retention.

LLM data tenancy

PulseGuard AI calls the OpenAI API, which is a multi-tenant, shared service. Requests are logically isolated per API account; your workspace data is not commingled with, or made accessible to, other customers.

Data sent to the OpenAI API is processed under a business/API agreement and, by default, is not used to train OpenAI’s models. PulseGuard does not opt in to any model-training or feedback-sharing programs on your behalf. See OpenAI’s enterprise privacy documentation for details.

LLM data residency

LLM inference for PulseGuard AI is performed by OpenAI. By default, processing occurs in the United States. OpenAI also offers data residency for eligible API usage across a number of regions — including Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, India, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates.

If your organization requires a specific processing region (for example, EU-only residency), contact us and we can discuss configuring a residency-eligible setup. Current availability is described in OpenAI’s data residency documentation.

LLM retention settings

PulseGuard AI does not store the raw prompts or model responses exchanged with the LLM beyond what is needed to deliver the resulting alert or report to your Slack workspace.

At the OpenAI layer, API inputs and outputs are, by default, retained for up to 30 days for abuse and misuse monitoring, then deleted — unless a longer period is required by law. This data is not used to train OpenAI’s models. For eligible customers with sensitive workloads, OpenAI offers a Zero Data Retention option under which prompts and responses are not retained after a request is processed.

You can uninstall PulseGuard AI from your Slack workspace at any time, which stops all further LLM processing of your data. See our Privacy Policy for how PulseGuard handles data outside the LLM layer.

The tenancy, residency, and retention behaviors described above reflect OpenAI’s published policies at the time of the last update and may change. The linked OpenAI documentation is the authoritative source. Content on this page was summarized from those sources for clarity.
